IMO Specialist Christopher Wilson

Specialist
Christopher M. Wilson, age 24, was killed in action March 29, 2007 while
serving in Korengal Outpost, Afghanistan. He was a member of the
10th Mountain Division of Fort Drum, New York. SPC Wilson has a
young daughter, age 4, who lives in Maine; the rest of his family lives in
Massachusetts. Specialist Wilson enlisted in the Army in September 2002. He was trained as a rifleman. Wilson was born in Dickenson, North Dakota and had lived in many cities to include North Quincy, South Hadley, and Chicopee, Massachusetts and also in Bangor, Maine. Before joining the Army he studied culinary arts in Bangor with the Penobscot Job Corps. He attended North Quincy High School from 1996 to 1997. His interests included camping, road trips, concerts, Boston sports teams, and spending time with his daughter. |

was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star
Medal. His other awards include the National Defense Service Medal,
Army Good Conduct Medal,
Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on
Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon,
NATO Medal and the Combat Infantryman Badge. He was posthumously
promoted to Sergeant. He was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
